Chapter Chapter 42 in Innovation in Sustainable Management and Entrepreneurship, 2020, pp 567-574 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The continuous development of business ecosystems increased and sustained the main concern for inter-industry collaboration. There were explored the emergence theories, orchestration processes, stakeholders’ engagement in organizational settings, etc. In order to achieve and maintain the competitive advantage companies explore in various ways and implement within organizational boundaries new technologies such as open innovation or crowdsourcing. Thus, as business ecosystems are dynamical structures that provide a variety of opportunities, it is relevant to explore ecosystems’ participants’ dynamic capabilities creation, especially in the transformative stage. From this point of view, there will be provided an extensive analysis of the main innovation mechanisms as the main triggers of organizational change. Consequently, this paper will reveal how the creation of specially designed marketplaces contributes to the business model innovation, the dynamic capabilities development, and social communities’ engagement. The purpose of this research is to reveal how already existing dynamic capabilities framework can be perceived within creative ecosystems. Thus, the foreseen result is to define the creative dynamic capabilities framework, based on evidence from the creative industries.
