Abstract: Abstract This paper presents a case study who leads to an analysis of the ITIL methodology implementation process in an IT company based in Timisoara and the change management strategy applied for this action. The case company is an IT services provider, one of the leading companies in the IT domain, with over 4000 business customers over the world. This report provides us an overview of the process of implementing ITIL methodology within the case company, together with further results after the implementation. The report consists also the case study design, the process of data collection and data analysis. The results from the survey conducted within the company and the interviews will be also included in the document. The conclusion of the paper presents us the correlation between Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model and the strategy of implementing ITIL within the organization.
