Marketing Automation Systems as Part of the Management Information Systems Evolution

Abstract: Abstract This paper is following up on management information systems through their eras of evolution towards cloud computing, where newly established systems generically named marketing automation systems are starting to play an important role in the enterprise applications of cloud computing based information systems. Given their novelty, their classification is loose to most measure, their features or desired applications overlapping with other types of enterprise software and this paper will look into all its defining characteristics and pinpoint its specifics and classification amongst the already established management information systems classification.
