Chapter Chapter 54 in Advances in Empirical Economic Research, 2023, pp 871-890 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is an analysis about the kind of advanced innovation that has been widely used in the production and delivery of services in Latin America and specifically in Chile. As could be expected, the most economically developed countries in Latin America are also those with high rates of innovation and technological modernisation. Many companies do not use advanced technology, but others do and those may serve as benchmark. Our aim is to introduce the concept of one technological profile in innovative companies, for small businesses, and prove the power that they have on daily economic activity. More specifically, we examine the technological activities in Chile for this purpose, and also to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the support measures to sustain the performance of small- or medium-sized firms in Chile.
