A chapter in Operational Research in the Era of Digital Transformation and Business Analytics, 2023, pp 117-122 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract When it comes to dental care services, quality is an important factor that plays a role in making decisions, coming up with health strategies and policies, figuring out how much medical care costs, and figuring out how valuable medical care is. It is challenging to evaluate the quality of dental services utilizing the assessment methods that are utilized in other services that are a part of primary healthcare. This is because there are some things about dentistry that make it hard to judge quality. Evaluation and advancement of primary oral healthcare services is a difficult issue to tackle due to the fact that there are a great number of factors that have an impact on the issue. As a result, the purpose of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive insight into the existing research, making use of the methodology presented by Webster and Watson (MIS Quarterly 26, 13–23, 2002). According to the findings of an analysis that included fifty papers that had been reviewed by experts in the relevant field, there has been an increase in the number of publications in this field over the past decade, and there is a need to encourage research (especially empirical research) in this area.
