Chapter Chapter 19 in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Post COVID-19, 2023, pp 269-283 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Our chapter focuses on the contemporary issues of the integration of leadership in economics and business through the development of popular scientific research and practice-oriented education in the post-COVID-19 era. The pandemic brought new threats and challenges for the world’s economies, in particular effecting the labor markets. Thence, the emphasis on the popular scientific research and practice-oriented education that is based on social partnership between the society, entrepreneurs, and organizations becomes a must for regaining leadership for business and economics in the new conditions. Our results demonstrate that COVID-19 pandemic contributed to making inequalities between the developing and developed countries worse around all the world by altering the balance on the economic relations and labor markets. Therefore, there is a pressing need for the scientific and technological systems around the world to be fostered and supported by the governments enabling them to offer important answers to challenges that were presented by the pandemic. Digitalization of education can also become an answer to these issues and help to regain the leadership paths for business and economics in the post-pandemic world.
