A chapter in State of the Art in Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), 2023, pp 277-313 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Mindful Leadership is an emerging construct on leadership which views leadership not as a position of authority or a hierarchical role, but as an unfolding social process. It is an individual’s perspective regarding shared leadership of team members working in the context of a high risk, rapidly changing environment. In this chapter, mindful leadership is conceptualized as a higher-order construct (HOC) that explains the leadership behavior of the team members. The study empirically validates the overall construct (HOC) as well as the related lower-order construct (LOC) measures. Several directions for future studies are proposed. SmartPLS 4.0 was used to execute partial least squares path modeling analysis of the hierarchical component model. Internal and external predictive validity metrics were confirmed, including the PLSpredict out-of-sample metrics.
