Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this research is to examine how the 2014 debut of the Dubai Tram affected the local economy. Both primary and secondary data will be analyzed to see whether there have been any changes in travel habits or business activity as a result of the tram system. Locals and companies will be polled to gauge their thoughts on the tram’s usefulness, security, and effect on the economy. In addition, we will examine the research already done on the economic impacts of tram systems in other cities so that we may compare the Dubai Tram to their findings and learn from their successes and failures. The purpose of this research is to examine the good effects the Dubai Tram has had on local transit, tourism, and the economy. The findings from the survey will provide light on how transportation and economic activity have changed, while the analysis of the relevant literature will reveal the key factors that have contributed to the success of similar systems in other cities. The ultimate objective is to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the Dubai Tram system.
