Abstract: Abstract Modern management approaches are largely based on Western philosophy. Pythagoras was the first to use the term “philosopher”, referred to one who loves philosophy—wisdom—investigates the world and tries to understand the truth. It aspires to highlight the cultural depth of modern theories across the ages. Philosophical currents that influenced the development of management come from all over the world. The research is based on the bibliographic review of texts from classical secretaryship and modern administration. Further research (to CEO’s and academics) will explore the interface of philosophy and tourism with Management, and the ability to recruit new knowledge and skills on the part of tourism management executives. Cultural tourism is a form of alternative tourism and refers to the history and all the elements that have contributed to the formation of the lifestyle of the inhabitants of an area. It is characteristic that until a few years ago in Greece there was the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, whose main task was the promotion of cultural heritage and its connection with the tourist economy. The paper aspires to highlight the connection of historical and philosophical texts on management with the strategic development of tourism in Greece.
