Abstract:
Abstract Technology Management and Innovation involves a critical factor in developing new products, services, and processes in mining. Most studies about Innovation in mining have not focused on operations methods for this sector. This paper analyses the importance of Technology Management and Innovation for open-pit Peruvian mining and describes some topics related to this approach. The activities developed by open-pit Peruvian mining include exploring new technologies and promoting supplier initiatives. Additionally, a multiple case study is presented to reinforce each firm's technological and organizational implications.
