Abstract:
Abstract The research investigates the relationship between fringe benefits, employee satisfaction, motivation, and their impact on performance in the workplace. By statistically analysing survey data, this study aims to explore how providing fringe benefits influences the levels of satisfaction and motivation among employees in Romania. The research employs quantitative methodologies for data collection and analysis, using IBM SPSS software to conduct correlation analyses, multiple regression tests, chi-square tests of independence, and t-tests for hypothesis testing. Based on the existing literature, four general hypotheses were formulated, demonstrating that the number of fringe benefits is linked to employee satisfaction and motivation, that the utilization of benefits leads to performance enhancement, and that there are age-related differences in the use of specific benefits. In light of the results obtained in this research, a deeper understanding emerges of how the preferences and needs of different age groups of employees influence the use of fringe benefits. These differences underscore the need for organizations to adopt a personalized approach regarding the structure of fringe benefits to address the diversity of their employees’ needs and preferences.
