Abstract: Abstract Online platforms are used for “sharing economy” or “collaborative economy” company, where third parties, usually customers, trade. The emphasis is on financial incentives to provide access to existing or underused resources like time, talents, unoccupied rooms, idle automobiles, etc. Sharing is common in tourism, real estate, and agriculture. It is becoming a new business model based on user-customer trust. Touring homeowners’ homes for a charge has changed tourism. However, owing to rising economic competition, tourism businesses must develop and execute sharing economy-based business models. This chapter discusses the “sharing economy” or “collaborative economy” and its relevance to tourism entrepreneurship’s new business models. A bibliometric analysis highlighted two important aspects: (i) the unique sharing economy business models in tourist entrepreneurship and (ii) their relevant trends and difficulties. Biblioshiny and VOSviewer, R-based tools, analyze 983 original papers. The data came from Scopus. The words “sharing economy,” “Internet of Things,” and “digital platforms” remain prevalent. Thematic study shows that tourism entrepreneurship’s sharing economy business model includes the “gig economy.” Gig economy growth exceeds collaborative economy growth. This expansion has created on-demand human resources that benefit the tourism sector.
