A chapter in New Perspectives and Paradigms in Applied Economics and Business, 2025, pp 567-580 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This research aims to emphasize the methodology by which medium-sized companies can adapt products to the moment's needs. Currently, the volatility of demand behavior, product diversification, and inefficient logistics processes affects the operational performance of supply chains. This article uses an approach based on leagile practices such as visual management, layout distribution, process standardization, and kaizen methodology. The model is also applied and validated with a case study of a company that sells sporting goods. The results revealed that the picking cycle time was reduced by 52.28%, and the order fulfillment rate increased by 14.6%. The paper contributes to improved operational performance, senior management decision-making, and the expansion of future research.
