Abstract:
Abstract The paper explores the impact of service Innovation in the Hotel Industry in Greece and how all these implementations could affect the Reputation of Hotels on the internet, from the perspective of the guests. The framework of the analysis was based on Schumpeter’s Theory for Innovation and the five main areas where companies can Innovate. The main scope of the paper is to identify Innovation variables in the industry that can be analyzed and be compared with Reputation from the Greek Hotels and the rating they have from online comments. In more details the research focuses on some main questions around the Innovation in Service in the Hotel Industry in Greece, where in Total 300 Hotel from all 5-stars categories have been taken as a sample. The main categories that have been analyzed were Personalization, Eco Sustainability and Digitalization, where a quantitative analysis followed for the variables. Based on the analysis of the results, conclusions are drawn, first for the distribution of frequencies and relative frequencies for each of the three categories mentioned above and the separate sectors belonging to them. Finally, the three categories are correlated with stars, consumer ratings and factor averages Value for Money, Staff, Comfort and Free Wi-Fi.
