Planning and Programming of Diversity Management Visions and Goals in Organizations—An Empirical Measurement Tool

Abstract: Abstract This article explores the strategic importance of diversity management in organizations, particularly in the context of globalization and demographic changes. It highlights the need to integrate diversity management into organizational strategies, emphasizing its role in fostering an inclusive workplace culture and driving innovation. The study focuses on developing and using effective tools to measure and evaluate diversity initiatives, ensuring they lead to real improvements. The article presents an original proposal for a partial synthetic indicator (WP1) on Planning and Programming of Diversity Management, which is part of an overall synthetic indicator (5P architecture). Exploratory factor analysis was used to test the homogeneity of the index. The reliability of the new indicator was also assessed, both overall and in selected sub-areas. By tailoring these tools to organizational needs, diversity management becomes more than a declarative effort, contributing to better business performance and a positive organizational image. The article also addresses the challenges in implementing these tools and the importance of continuous adaptation to meet evolving organizational needs.
