A chapter in Intangibles in the Knowledge Economy, 2025, pp 41-52 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a pivotal area of interest in management research, particularly regarding its impact on Human Resource Management (HRM) and the leaders responsible for workforce development. However, the implications of AI implementation in HRM—both positive and negative—are not yet fully understood. A critical approach is essential for a more comprehensive understanding of AI’s influence on HRM. Therefore, this book chapter explores three dimensions of it: (1) The benefits of AI in HRM, (2) The challenges and ethical concerns associated with AI in HRM, and (3) AI-driven leadership in HRM. The chapter presents a conceptual framework and a set of research questions to support future studies in this evolving field.
