Abstract:
Abstract Current trends in sustainable development financing are discussed in the paper. The objective of the research is to reveal the potential use of financial resources of an enterprise as a source for financing sustainable development. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, as well as data from information and analytical agencies, the author concludes that there is an insufficient level of project financing in the field of sustainable development by private investors, increasing of which can create a positive synergistic effect for both business and the state. The article also examines practical experience of a number of Russian companies investing in sustainable development. The analysis of debt financial instruments in sustainable development allocated on the ESG bond market is carried out, structural distribution between “green” bonds, social bonds and sustainable development bonds is presented and forecasts of market development by the end of the year are considered. The importance of potential use of financial resources of enterprises as a source for financing sustainable development is revealed, especially in conditions of the limited direct investments from the state, and an interest increase in responsible and social investing from business is noted.
