A chapter in Finance, Economics, and Industry for Sustainable Development, 2025, pp 55-69 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The article illustrates that the management team's strategic approach to sustainable development is presently realized through a comprehensive method integrated into the processes that oversee efforts aimed at maintaining the independence of the educational system. In this context, general educational entities are not only progressing but also actively participating in the pertinent project, “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia”. Researchers have identified criteria for measuring the effectiveness of management teams, which include responsibility for results, alignment, effective collaboration, resilience, and adaptability, among other factors. This article presents findings from a study aimed at assessing the performance of a management team engaged in the “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” initiative within the Far Eastern Federal District. It also incorporates data from self-evaluations conducted by educational institutions in the Saratov region that took part in the program. The study explores critical elements and requirements of the “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” initiative, covering aspects such as education, innovation, knowledge acquisition, career guidance, well-being, the role of teachers, teamwork in schools, the institutional climate, and the broader educational environment. Furthermore, the professional development programs created by the authors, including “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia: New Opportunities for Improving Educational Quality” and “Management Team Training for General Education Organizations to Increase Educational Productivity”, as well as the Professional Retraining Program, have proven successful in enhancing the capabilities of management teams and promoting the sustainable development of general education institutions.
