Chapter Chapter 6 in Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Global Financial Crisis on Development in Africa, 2026, pp 109-119 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This study aims to analyze the determinants of digital financial inclusion in the North Africa and Middle East region. We examined nine countries, including 9053 individuals, using a logit model. The results indicate that digital financial inclusion is influenced by socioeconomic characteristics such as gender, age, education, employment, and household income. Access to technology, measured by cell phone ownership and Internet access, also plays a significant role in digital financial inclusion. In summary, this study highlights the key factors shaping digital financial inclusion in the North Africa and Middle East region.
