Abstract:
Abstract The automotive and aerospace industry have been rapidly evolving, driven by the increasing demand for innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), are emerging technologies that are reshaping various aspects of design, manufacturing, marketing, user experience, education and other several field of human knowledge. This paper concerns the historical development of AR and VR, highlighting the enormous psychological and neuroscientific influence of immersive power, used to raise awareness and educate people about sustainability issues. After a careful analysis of VR and AR, applied to the automotive and aerospace sectors, are described the benefits and challenges that these technologies have towards design for sustainability. In the end, it’s described the possible A.I. enhancement of VR and AR, used to obtain efficient and sustainable solutions for a greener and smarter future.
