Abstract:
Abstract Ebers Chemistry is a Virtual Reality (VR) application available on the Meta Quest Store, offering an immersive and gamified chemistry learning experience for school students. Rooted in a historical theme inspired by Jabir ibn Hayyan, the app delivers curriculum-aligned experiments and an interactive periodic table in an engaging, safe, and intuitive VR environment. The application enhances user engagement through natural hand-tracking interaction, high-quality visuals, and gamified feedback. It addresses educational gaps in traditional laboratory instruction by providing a safe, controlled, and immersive alternative that aligns with the IGCSE chemistry curriculum, the American Diploma programme, and the Egyptian Thanaweya Amma curriculum. With ongoing developments including mini-games, and achievement systems, Ebers Chemistry presents valuable insights and practical implications for educators and developers in XR.
