Chapter Chapter 18 in New Perspectives in Economics and Management, Vol 1, 2026, pp 255-268 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This literature review takes a deep dive into how Responsible Supply Chain Management (RSCM) practices influence customer satisfaction across the Moroccan automotive industry. RSCM is all about weaving environmental, social, and ethical factors into the fabric of traditional supply chain management, with the goal of boosting sustainability while also meeting the expectations of stakeholders. The review pulls together insights from peer-reviewed journals, showcasing how sustainable sourcing, ethical labor practices, green logistics, and transparency play a role in enhancing product quality, brand reputation, and customer loyalty. The evidence suggests that companies embracing RSCM not only shrink their environmental impact but also build stronger trust and satisfaction among their customers, giving them a competitive edge. Still, there are hurdles to overcome, like the need for supplier collaboration and the complexities of measurement. The review also points out gaps in research, especially when it comes to the unique contexts of emerging economies, such as Morocco’s automotive sector.
