Abstract: Abstract This study examines the dynamics of electronic waste, a serious environmental problem across Kashmir Valley of India. Customers’ lack of involvement in making sure that electronic materials are disposed of properly is the main cause of the e-waste crisis. However, a detailed investigation of customers’ behavioural intentions about e-waste is required in order to motivate them to dispose of it safely. The current study outlines a theoretical framework to examine how Gen-Z perceives their behaviour related to the responsible disposal of electronic waste. The theory of planned behaviour (TPB) aims to predict Gen-Z's perceived e-waste disposal habits while taking environmental consciousness into account as a moderating factor. For empirical validation, Structural Equation Modelling was applied to survey data collected from 351 participants. This study suggests that developing young people's potential and providing them with appropriate technology support can significantly contribute to creating a more equitable and sustainable world. It also encourages them to start sustainable businesses that can improve the proper disposal of electronic waste and generate income at the same time.
