A chapter in Transport Development Challenges in the Twenty-First Century, 2016, pp 1-2 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Transport is undoubtedly an extremely important field of human activity. Its development is a vital part of every political and economic strategy both on a local and on an international level. Achieving transport efficiency enables various economies to unlock their growth potential, create jobs and bring wealth to communities. Thus, it is not only a promising business field but also a crucial matter of scientific research. With that point in mind, ‘TranSopot 2015 Conference: Transport Development Challenges in the Twenty-First Century’ has been held from 25 to 27 May 2015 at the University of Gdańsk, Faculty of Economics. The proceedings of the conference are presented in this book.
