Chapter Chapter 6 in Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship as Driving Forces of the Global Economy, 2017, pp 69-76 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We live in a world of changing business environments, competition, mergers, acquisitions, and evolving economic climates. Innovation for the sustainability of global enterprise is a must. There is no shortage of ideas; IBM launched ten new IBM businesses, following an online collaboration of 150,000 global participants (IBM Innovation Jam® 2006). Innovative organizations can still fail at implementation. Lack of business capability, process maturity, vision, and leadership plays a significant part in innovation failure. This paper describes a model for successful innovation realization, leveraging The Open Group’s Enterprise Architecture framework (TOGAF® v9.1). A framework through which an enterprise can mature, develop its innovation capabilities and support innovation sustainability.
