Abstract: Abstract The article focuses on rural residents’ tourist activity (participation in tourism). As statistics show, the rate of rural residents’ participation in tourism is lower than the national average. The article uses secondary data (desk research method) and the results of own empirical study based on a sample of rural population (survey method). The study showed a significant variation in the determinants of tourism demand and indicated potential demand for tourism services in the study sample.
