Abstract:
Abstract The Economic Adjustment Programme for Greece has not met the commitments set out, due to both endogenous and exogenous factors. Endogenous factors are specified as the particularities of the Greek economy, such as the role and importance of the public sector in the economic results, the clientelist state, the characteristics of the Greek entrepreneurship, and the underground economy. Exogenous factors are specified as the lack of alternative tools for the implementation of economic policy, as well as the assumptions and oversights of the programme.
