Abstract:
Abstract Knowledge workers are people with a high degree of expertise; education is the main purpose of their jobs, which includes the processes of creation, distribution, and application of knowledge. One of the major challenges for today’s managers is to find the right tools to manage knowledge workers and measure their performance individually. The increased demand for employees who know how to use their professional skills and their talent to perform complex tasks within the organization has led to the emergence of opportunities, as well as challenges. The aim of this article is to identify and present what are the key skills of knowledge workers and what makes them so difficult to be managed by their superiors.
