Chapter Chapter 25 in Managing in Recovering Markets, 2015, pp 315-325 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This paper is aimed at finding out the impact of socially responsible behaviour on industrial/employee relations. The research uses employee internal motivation as a proxy for industrial harmony. A survey was administered to 206 working professionals whose organizations were engaged in CSR activities. The research hypothesis was tested using regression and correlation analysis. The findings indicate a positive relationship between CSR and employee internal motivation. The results have immense potential to be utilized by HR practitioners and tailor their social initiatives, particularly local community relations to ensure cordial employee relations.
