Abstract:
Abstract When it comes to enhancing employee performance, one of the most important factors is motivation at work. The purpose of this research is to provide an explanation of the effect that work motivation has on employee performance as well as to characterize the components that influence work motivation. By using the method of systematic literature review, this investigation was able to identify 34 papers that were published between the years 2018 and 2022 and that explored the topic of work motivation. A number of elements, including leadership, work environment, employee training, task characteristics, incentives for achievement, career path, and commitment, were shown to have an impact on the level of motivation that an individual has while at work. In 17 different publications, the enormous effect that motivation has on the performance of employees is discussed. In contrast, the findings of the other three papers indicate that there is a negligible relationship between employee performance and the level of motivation they experience at work.
