A chapter in Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, 2026, pp 369-388 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This study investigates the relationship between digital technology, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and supply chain resilience (SCR) and competitiveness within medium and large manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam. Utilizing quantitative methodologies, survey data were collected from 438 enterprises and analyzed using the PLS-SEM model to test the research hypotheses. The findings indicate that digital technology positively influences competitiveness and facilitates CSR and SCR implementation. Further, CSR and SCR serve as significant mediators in the relationship between digital technology and business competitiveness. This study offers empirical evidence on the integration mechanism of digital technology, CSR, and SCR within the context of emerging markets such as Vietnam and proposes governance implications to assist businesses in optimizing the benefits of digital transformation, enhancing adaptability in a volatile business environment, and fostering a sustainable and socially responsible corporate image.
