Abstract:
Abstract Strategic entrepreneurship plays a vital role in the growth and value creation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This research offers a new regional perspective by exploring how leadership, innovation, and opportunity recognition interact to enhance SME performance in the Vidarbha region of India. The study aimed to evaluate how these aspects of strategic entrepreneurship influence the ability of SMEs to generate value. A causal research design was utilised, and data were analysed using structural equation modelling to understand the relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that both strategic leadership and innovation have a significant influence on value creation, while the impact of opportunity recognition is less pronounced. The research offers important theoretical contributions and practical insights that can help SME leaders and policymakers promote strategic entrepreneurship for long-term sustainability.
