Abstract:
Abstract This research paper seeks valuable insights into the current landscape of women's entrepreneurship in India while offering a comparative analysis spanning previous periods. Through detailed analyses, the study will illuminate India’s contemporary global standing in women’s entrepreneurship. Recognizing the pivotal role that women play in propelling economic advancement, it becomes imperative to delve into the factors that influence the achievements of female entrepreneurs within the Indian context. The principal objective of this study is to analyze problems faced by rural women entrepreneurs and their impact on their performance. Employing a quantitative descriptive methodology, the research employs a convenience sampling technique to collect data through a self-administered questionnaire targeting women entrepreneurs in India. The study encompasses a dataset of 335 samples. The analytical framework encompasses descriptive, reliability, validity analyses, as well as and ANOVA procedures. The study’s findings underscore the factors that significantly shape women entrepreneurs’ performance, encompassing their educational attainment, previous entrepreneurial experience, business training, capital access, comprehension of business intricacies, governmental support, and asset ownership. Conversely, variables such as age, marital status, market entry, and physical infrastructure availability are found to exert minimal influence on the level of success achieved by women entrepreneurs.
