A chapter in Information Systems Outsourcing, 2020, pp 61-79 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract A void exists in information systems (IS) sourcing research: Organizations increasingly source data for varied purposes, but IS sourcing literature has not focused on data sourcing nor sourcing partnerships. We examine some of the implicit views in the IS literature regarding data that have not yet been well articulated. Exploring these views in terms of data sourcing arrangements offers future research opportunities.
