A chapter in Progress in Sustainable Mobility Research, 2021, pp 81-102 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract One of the biggest challenges in lives of citizens in rural areas is the lack of mobility services. Citizens in rural areas are dependent on their own car to drive to work or to reach their daily accomplishments. To enhance the mobility in rural areas, new mobility services and new sustainable business models are needed. In this article we, therefore, introduce a process model that supports a structured generation of business ideas by integrating imitational and innovational aspects into a so-called imovational approach. We applied this model to the context of project NEMo and show how to derive new and sustainable ideas for mobility services.
