Chapter Chapter 4 in Agentic AI, 2025, pp 99-134 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In Chap. 3 , we explore how AI agents are reshaping traditional economic theories, pioneering novel market structures, and redefining value creation. We examine the pivotal role of tokens in incentivizing agent behavior, streamlining transactions, and enabling decentralized governance. Through compelling case studies—Virtuals, AI16z, and Terminal of Truth (ToT)—we uncover the transformative potential of AI agents across finance, entertainment, and data marketplaces. Finally, we underscore the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, forward-thinking regulation, and prioritizing human well-being as you navigate this dynamic landscape where AI agents emerge as autonomous economic actors.
