Abstract:
Abstract SAP has been on the way to implement LEAN/Agile for a few years now and it has been a deep change in the organization, affecting e.g. the setup of teams (small cross-functional teams), the way they work (scrum) and also the understanding of roles and responsibilities. In this paper we want to (1) briefly explain why we introduced AGILE and what Agile means for us, and (2) what we have done to “Develop People First”—provide advanced trainings, e.g. for quality engineers, for developers, for teams, and show some key elements of those trainings and workshops. (3) At the end we will conclude with first “Results and Learnings” on this journey. Why this focus on ‘develop people first’? Because we think that it is a key element for success on the road to agile software development.
