A chapter in Software Engineering Education for a Global E-Service Economy, 2014, pp 119-124 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The development of software engineering needs not only excellent software engineers, but also outstanding engineering leaders. In the past 90 years, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) has graduated a lot of outstanding engineering leaders. Based on the successful environment and experiences, in December 2012 HIT launched a program for candidate engineering leader cultivation (CELECA), and National Pilot School of Software (NPSS) became one of experimental schools. The background of the CELECA program is introduced at first, and then the proposal of CELECA in NPSS is presented. Finally, the executive plan and progress is described.
