A chapter in Software Engineering Education for a Global E-Service Economy, 2014, pp 65-71 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract With the rapid development of IT industry, a large number of software talents are urgent needed in China. However, according to the matter of fact, many graduate students have difficulty to find ideal jobs, while a lot of enterprises are suffering from a severe shortage of suitable talents. The traditional education model has been proved helpless in solving the contradiction between talent supply and demand. In this chapter, the software talent demands are analyzed, and a social demand-oriented education model for software engineering is proposed.
