Chapter Chapter 1 in Developing and Evaluating a Cloud Service Relationship Theory, 2015, pp 1-10 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This introductory chapter outlines in four parts how this dissertation develops and evaluates a cloud service relationship theory. First, the multifaceted cloud movement shaking information technology (IT) providers, IT departments and IT users and thus, the IT industry as a whole is explained. Second, the information systems (IS) research discipline to whose knowledge base this dissertation aims to contribute is introduced. Third, the research questions and expected theoretical and practical contributions of the dissertation are outlined. Finally, a brief outlook on the remaining chapters is given.
