A chapter in From Science to Society, 2018, pp 139-151 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As the uptake of microgeneration increases, the centralised model of electricity generation will be significantly altered. One of the new models that is being investigated is the notion of a peer-to-peer electricity market in which prosumers can market their electricity exports to any other household. This paper investigates this model and proposes a new algorithm for automating the sale and purchase of electricity in this market aiming to optimise the market while providing increased control to householders.
