Abstract: Abstract Recruiting of new employees is a key challenge for enterprises. Next to the skills and capability matching of applicants and job demands, the person-organizational environment fit is also crucial. As an increasing number of applicants provide personal information on social media, such as LinkedIn or XING, the question arises how can such information be used to achieve improved match-making. However, limited expertise in this area as well as legal and ethical issues prevent any straightforward application of sophisticated social media analysis in the process of recruiting. Thus, we propose an innovative consulting approach for human resource recruiting based on an automated assessment of the personality-organization environment fit. In our approach we show how an applicant’s personality traits can be automatically derived from social media usage.
