Chapter Chapter 9 in Management of the Cricketing Ecosystem, 2022, pp 163-169 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Due to the commercialisation of various sports (for example, football and cricket) in the last few decades, sport is now perceived as an integral part of the entertainment industry (Anagnostopoulos, Soccer & Society 12:249–264, 2011; Zagnoli and Radicchi, Sport in Society 13:1532–1551, 2010). As a result, senior management in sports is under never-seen-before scrutiny and this has inescapably led to management practice-related questions (Ferkins and Shilbury, Sport Management Review 13:235–254, 2010). Hence the entire study reported in this book for creating a balance between formats in the existing cricketing ecosystem is very topical and should inspire a lot more academic work in this direction.
