Abstract:
Abstract This systematic literature review identifies the different research paths that help us to understand the emerging aspects that explain leadership presence and its importance to drive intellectual capital to innovation and internationalization. It congregates research articles collected from the Web of Science database, within management or business categories, published in 1994–2020 period, considering the research topics: leadership and intellectual capital, knowledge diversity, knowledge heterogeneity, geography diversity, and internationalization. The systematization makes possible the identification of five literature clusters: (1) Intellectual Capital Influences, (2) Leaders Global Mindset, (3) Mindset to Lead to Success, (4) Technological Infrastructures, CEO Traits and Governance Disclosure, and (5) Green Attitude and Export Performance. In terms of contributions, it provides an original hypothesized framework and a future research agenda, organized per literature cluster.
