A chapter in Startup Ecosystems, 2023, pp 3-19 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, first, an overview of the study and the purpose of the study are proposed together with an explanation of the research question. Furthermore, the research methodology and the research process used and, therefore, the structure of the book are described. The concept of start-up ecosystems in the management literature is addressed in the first conceptualizations. The main variables that, according to the author who dealt with the topic, influence the development of these ecosystems are selected and analyzed: the influence of market actors, the influence of geographic variables, and the importance of resources.
