Abstract: Abstract Nanocarriers were developed with the capability to penetrate the blood-brain-barrier (BBB). By adjusting some surface bonds, it is possible to attach various medical compounds to the nanocarrier so that the medicine is delivered to the brain tissues. Clinical trials are ongoing.
