Abstract: Abstract Indonesia is amongst the world’s largest populated countries and has a rich cultural heritage. The aim of this chapter is to discuss the sense of place value and the actors involved in indigenous entrepreneurship in Indonesia tourism. To do this, the history and cultural significance of indigeneous entrepreneur in Indonesia are discussed with the aim of building knowledge about entrepreneurial endeavours. This enables more information to be acquired about the role of place and actors in developing Indonesian indigeneous entrepreneurship. Managerial and practical implications of embedding a cultural heritage into entrepreneurial endeavours is discussed. Thereby this chapter contributes to the burgeoning literature on Indonesian entrepreneurship.
