A chapter in Changing Values and Identities in the Post-Communist World, 2018, pp 99-115 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter the results of a cross-cultural empirical study of value orientations and social identity among Russian Muslims living in the North Caucasus are described. The study involved 1713 respondents with different ethnic backgrounds, who provided data on their cultural value orientations, ethnic identity, and ethnic affiliations. The results are discussed in light of the collectivist nature of Muslim societies of the North Caucasus as well as age-related specifics of culture, values, ethnic, religious, and civil features of social identity.
