Abstract:
Abstract Today Economic Tendency Surveys are considered as part of the core economic statistics for a large group of countries. Based on its conformity with growth cycles these statistics have been widely used by Central Banks and market analysts in nowcasting and short-term forecasting. They also contain information not found in other statistics, mostly related to the psychological elements that influence firms’ and consumers’ expectations.
