The Saudi Capital Market: Coming of Age

Mohamed Ramady ()

Chapter Chapter 3 in Financial Regulation and Liberation, 2021, pp 43-57 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The evolution and various stages of Saudi Capital Market reforms are examined, including the performance of the main Tadawul Stock Exchange and the NOMU parallel market. The initiatives to mobilize domestic and international investments and the financial leadership plans under the Vision 2030 are also explored, as well as the structure and composition of Saudi investment funds. The growth of new financial products such as the REIT’s is examined as well as the role of the Saudi Real Estate Refinancing Company and relevant enforcement laws, given the importance of the Saudi mortgage sector.
